Taster’s Review:

Yum!  This is good stuff!

The aroma is delicious – very minty, but with a nice chocolate-y scent too.  I can also smell the rooibos … which smells like, well, like rooibos.

I am happy that I can’t really taste the rooibos, though.  Perhaps a faint nutty flavor or woody flavor here and there, but nothing very pronounced or strong.  As I am not particularly fond of the flavor of unflavored, oxidized rooibos, I find the lack of rooibos flavor here to be a good thing.

The strongest flavor is the mint.  The taste is clean and crisp, just like I’d expect from a strong minty taste.

But before it has a chance to be TOO minty, the chocolate notes hit the palate.  Mmm!  Chocolate!  The chocolate is a milk chocolate-y kind of taste.  It is not as strong as I personally would like it to be (but then, I always say that about chocolate), but there is a good amount.  The result is a tisane that tastes a bit like a mint chocolate chip ice cream (well, except for the fact that this is hot!)

The finish is minty fresh with just a whisper of chocolate.  This would be a great low-calorie, low-fat, caffeine-free dessert substitute!  Delicious!

Tasters Review:

Over the past week or two I have been REALLY pushing the envelop – I have been purposely forcing myself to taste teas that I usually don’t go for.  Many of them have had Chamomile and/or Hibiscus.

I’m not too fond of Chamomile unless the other ingredients impress me!  With this specific herbal from TeaScapes – the name and the look of the ingredients blended together is what interested me.  It just seemed different.  I had also been very pleased with the other TeaScapes Teas I have tried lately so I thought this one would give me something to write about either way!

The little bit of cinnamon that is coming thru is a nice touch and helps calm down the intense chamomile.  Sure, the chamomile is still present but not as much as I thought it would be.  The strawberry notes are barely there and I would LOVE to taste a little bit more but understand their reasoning for this…it’s not supposed to be about the strawberry!   The rose somewhat works hand-in-hand with the chamomile to bring that floral bouquet type taste.

This is a nice twist on Chamomile and for that I do enjoy this herbal from TeaScapes!

It’s not my preference in flavor combos but a good calming and floral mix that certainly surprised me! This is pretty good, indeed!

Tasters Review:

My first reaction to this flavor was “OH” and not necessarily a good one! Mostly because I wasn’t prepared for that flavor…

now…DON’T Be alarmed this is a POSITIVE review!  I ended up liking this tea just fine and dandy…keep reading!

You know when you take a big swig of something – what you think is – say – Cherry Coke and it ends up being lemonade or something completely different??  Well that is why I was so taken back by this…I was ASSUMING it was something completely different!

And you know what they say about ASS+U+ME…ing…

After that initial shock…I was blown away by the spiciness of this one!

By the 3rd sip everything started making sense and the taste and my taste-buds starting to finally become friends!

I could taste the spices, orange, and then the cinnamon – specifically – it reminds me of a fireball or Hot Ball type cinnamon, then comes the cranberry and peach.  Toward the end of the sip I can taste the papaya.   The apple is a bit more hidden than most of the other flavors but that’s ok with me.  The end of the sip on to the aftertaste is a fruity-spicy one…more spice than fruit – at least on my tongue.

This cup is NOT lacking color, aroma, or taste – let me tell you that!  This is a beautiful dry blend and the more I sip it the more I like it but it was quite shocking at first – especially because I wasn’t prepared for that flavor!  It’s intense!

I’m not complaining…I do like this!

Just a heads-up on the cinnamon!  If you like Fire Balls/Hot Balls you will probably like this.  If you aren’t into spices or cinnamon or fireballs…just wanted to warn you!

This is sure to warm any tummy!  It’s a Nice bright mix and toasty-warm cuppa!  I really needed this THIS week as we are in the middle of snow storm after snow storm!

Earl Grey Vanilla Almond Tea from TeaScapes

The brewed liquor offers a pleasant flavor of bergamot mixed with the nutty tones of almond and creamy undercurrents of vanilla. Tasters Review:

This is unlike anything I have EVER smelled in my life!  It’s powerful and has attitude!  And I like that!

The DRY Aroma – I can smell Almond right off the bat!  Right after that scent follows the Earl Grey!  I can smell both – both together and separately!  It’s very intense!  And VERY Unique!

After infusing – the almond tones down quite a bit and the Earl Grey comes thru even more.

The color of the infused liquid is that of a medium brown.

The taste is out of this world!

I can taste the bold black tea wonderfully!  Then I can taste the nicely done Earl Grey flavors and THEN the Almond barges thru!   The vanilla slides in towards the end of the sip and smooths it out pleasantly.

This is such a FUN tea!  I think it’s just GREAT!  I’m very impressed with the aroma, flavors, and creativity of both!   This is a REAL winner!
