Where To Buy: White August Tea Company

Product Description:

The perfect Tea for putting a smile on your face. Let’s get the party started with our Indian Black Tea blend that will remind you of vanilla cupcakes with candy sprinkles.

Tasters Review:

I’m a sucker for teas with sprinkles in them!  So I was SUPER excited to try this tea from White August Tea Company.  It’s called ConfeTEA.

This one is wonderfully creamy!  Silky-Smooth!  Awesomely velvety!  The description of Vanilla Cupcakes with Sprinkles is VERY accurate!

This is tremendous!  One that would appear on my favorites list time and time again!

Honey Orchid Black Tea from Golden Moon Tea

Tea Type: Black Tea

Where To Buy: Golden Moon Tea

Product Description:

One of the best teas we have tasted. It is so rare that it is actually its own varietal without any flavorings or scenting. The honey flavor literally explodes on your front palate with a subtle finish of fresh orchids.

Tasters Review:

Marcus over at Golden Moon Tea contacted us recently to try their new and improved Honey Orchid and I will say they NAILED IT!  LiberTEAs previously reviewed this and it’s one of the very few 100’s I’ve seen her rate on her steepster log!  I agree with her saying this is pretty awesome – that’s for sure!

The aroma of the dry leaves smell like a honey-buttered whole wheat bagel I often have from my local coffee shop here.

The color of the liquor after infusing is quite light for a black!   It’s surprising! BUT…it’s NOT light on flavor!

I guess the honey comparison comes into play because it IS smooth like honey and it has that natural sweetness of REAL honey…not that fake stuff! I really like the smoothness of this.

There is a chewiness to this tea as well…I  REALLY like that little characteristic!

I would say the Orchid/floral connection would be just as you move the sip from the front of your mouth to the back of your mouth right before it ‘goes down the trap’…so to speak!  The floral notes are subtle and refreshing in a way I have never tasted before!

As this cools it seems to become juicer – I think this is an interesting touch – as well!

This tea is more complex than I was expecting and I LOVE that!

Another thing I noticed with this tea is that the leaves are screaming for a 2nd infusion…here is what I found with the 2nd infusion…

This time around it’s still sweet and silky-smooth but more woodsy but in a good way. It’s smells chewier but tastes a little less chewier.

YUMMO!

My favorite Golden Moon Tea thus far!  WOW!

Ebony Wine Tea from White August Tea Company

Tea Type: Black Tea

Where To Buy: White August Tea Company

Product Description:

Assam black tea garnished with black currant leaves and sweet berries. We recommend enhancing this tea with a lemon zest or cream for an outstanding smooth and lightly fruity morning beverage.

Tasters Review:

Ebony Wine Tea is another outstanding offering from White August Tea Company!

The aroma reminds me of a cross between ice(d) wine and Cabernet!  It’s a nicely flavored black tea.  The currant leaves and berries are perfectly in tune with my palate!  This is juicy and has a nice evenness to the sweet-berry verses the sour-berry.  I think it’s just lovely!

I have looking into more iced wine teas lately.  I must say my personal tea stash is a little low on iced wine teas at the moment so this was a perfect ‘stand-in” for it.

Tippy South Cloud Tea from The Tao of Tea

Tea Type: Black Tea

Where To Buy: The Tao of Tea

Product Description:

Reddish brown brew, sweet aroma with roasted undertones and full bodied flavor.

Tasters Review:

The dry aroma of this Tippy South Cloud from The Tao of Tea sort of reminds me of a lighter darjeeling type scent.  After I infused it – I thought it was  a bit flatter in aroma but it had a nut-like smell to it as well.  I thought the aroma alone was memorable!

The color is dark and bold.

The taste is well rounded and is a medium strength black tea.   It’s fairly smooth and not astringent at all! Even if over infused…which I did put to the test for my 2nd cup of this darling tea!

What a soothing and simple yet tasty black tea!

Darjeeling Green Tea from Shanti Tea

Tea Type: Green Tea

Where To Buy: Shanti Tea

Product Description:

Rare Darjeeling Green , light, natural aroma and subtle flavor.

This rare Darjeeling green tea is cultivated at about 7000ft in the Himalayas, at the renowned Makaibari Estate, the oldest (est. 1859) and most respected tea estate in the world, and also the world’s first biodynamically cultivated tea garden. This exquisite green tea has a light amber color, a mild, natural aroma and subtle flavor, with delicate floral hints.

Tasters Review:

I haven’t been this excited about a plain green tea in a LONG time!  I swear Shanti made this tea especially for me!  So I will take this time to say THANK YOU Shanti Tea!!

Darjeeling Green Tea from Shanti Tea is a medium strength green tea but it’s pretty equal in all aspects of grassy, buttery, sweet, juicy, mouth-watering, floral, and it’s VERY smooth.  I guess one could say that this Darjeeling Green Tea from Shanti Tea didn’t play any favorites when it comes to one taste over the other and I am fine with that.  Everything works out and plays nice with each other.   There is a pleasant aftertaste which really makes me smile!

This is a really nice tea!

I REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS TEA!

HEY!  Did I mention, I like this tea?

Classic Phoenix Oolong From Element Tea

Tea Type: Oolong

Where To Buy: Element Tea

Product Description:

Fine, long-twisted, single-stem leaves provide a light amber-yellow cup that carries a highly fragrant aroma of honeysuckle and almond. This Oolong has a smooth, delicate finish that you won’t forget.

Brew Time: 3 – 4 minutes

Ingredients: Chinese Oolong Tea

Tasters Review:

The Product Description for Classic Phoenix Oolong From Element Tea says “Long twisted leaves” and THAT is completely accurate!

It also says this tea is reminiscent of honeysuckle – I also agree! I also think it’s a bitty nutty and smooth – very smooth!

This tea is beautiful all-round! And it was just screaming for a 2nd infusion – so I jumped at the opportunity.  The 2nd infusion was also nice!  A full oolong taste with a more almond like finish – moreso than the first infusion.  I infused over 7 minutes on the 2nd infusion.

I really do LOVE this!

Tasters Review:

This is a brilliant blend of black teas and honeybush called Breakfast Blend from LiberTEAS and I just LOVE it!  Keep reading for a chance to win this tea, too!

The black teas are very bold and are what you seek for a morning tea!  The honeybush gives it the natural sweetness and pairs wonderfully with the hint of vanilla.  The pairing of honeybush and vanilla also gives this blend a great smoothness to the tea as well.

This is NOT your run-of-the-mill Breakfast Blend…it is so much more.   One I would certainly say is on the top of my list of not only Morning Teas or Bold Teas but also Creative Blends and pure joy in a cup!  A great start to any day!
