The Word Exotic Can Have Many Meanings. When It Comes To Tea, Think Of An Adventurous Journey To A Far Away And Unfamiliar Environment… The Other Meanings We’ll Leave To Your Imagination.

Taster’s Review:

This is one of the better mint flavored green teas I’ve encountered lately.  There is such a pleasant balance of tastes.

The gunpowder green tea is a strong component, but, it isn’t overwhelmingly grassy or vegetative.  There is a soft, fresh taste that is somewhat “green” – a little vegetative but not really so much like vegetables or even grass… just somewhat… leafy in taste.

It is a gentle taste that I really enjoy – a surprisingly good flavor from gunpowder green!  Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy a good quality gunpowder green, however, sometimes, gunpowder greens come off very vegetative.  This one is not.  I don’t know if it is because of the peppermint in the blend, or that it is just a gunpowder green of exceptional quality (or perhaps a combination of the two), but, this is one of the better gunpowder green teas that I’ve encountered.

The peppermint flavor is also strong, but, it isn’t overpowering.  It tastes minty, but it doesn’t taste mouthwash-y or medicinal in any way.  It just has a fresh, clean taste that melds perfectly with the gunpowder green tea.  It is a well-blended tea!

The safflower petals in this blend do not lend much in the way of taste, although they certainly do give the blend a very pretty appearance.  While this isn’t quite as unique a blend as some of the others I’ve tried from Indie tea (there are a lot of peppermint green teas out there), it is delicious and one of the better mint green teas I’ve tasted lately.  Kudos to Indie Tea!

    Flavors: Fruity, Floral

Tasters Review:

Peach Apple Crisp was the very first tea I tried from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company and I must say I am impressed!

DRY this smells like various black teas, peaches, apples, flowers, spices, and a little hibiscusy.  It’s  FULL of aroma and I like that!Post infusion… this smells mostly of peaches, apples, flowers, and cinnamon. Different than the pre-infusion but still very nice and very aromatic!  Another PLUS in my book!

It infuses to a nice medium golden brown color.

The flavor is absolutely delightful!  I can taste individually the peach, the apple, the cinnamon, and the flowers…but they all jive well together!

The stereotypical Rooibos taste wasn’t really there as much so I would suggest this blend to ANYONE who thinks Rooibos is NOT for them…this just may change your mind!

The more I sip on this the more I like it! My first cup I had HOT but assume it would be tremendous cold, too!  I am going to have to put that to the test very soon!

Simply put…I LOVE THIS blend!  I have officially put it in my upper 95+ percentile of teas I LOVE.  Stay tuned to SororiTEA Sisters for more tea reviews from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company!

Tasters Review:

This is a lovely Apple Sencha!  I tried this one both hot and cold and enjoyed them both very much. I can taste primarily the apple but can also pick up on the pear, too…I think the pear PAIRS with the apple nicely and just enhances the overall apple flavor in this.

It’s sweet, fruity, and mouth-watering!

Chilli Rooibos from Eteaket

Tea Type: Rooibos

Where To Buy: eTeaket

Product Description:

Chilli Tea
Chilli Rooibos Tea
Handle our Chilli Rooibos with care! The chilli highlights are built on a base of classic Rooibos tea and vivid wild cherries, rosebuds, safflower petals, peony petals and carrot flakes. This tea has serious attitude.

To Enjoy: Use 1 tsp per cup, add freshly boiled water and brew for 3-4 mins. We recommend holding off on the milk, but whatever floats your boat.

Tasters Review:

I tried this one mostly for the uniqueness of it.  I guess it intrigued me.

This smells like cherries and chilli!  And orange-ish brown color is pretty neat, indeed!  I under infused…on purpose because I was a little worried about the Chili.  I have had Chili Teas before BUT haven’t had the best luck with them.  This one surprised me!

My first impression was that I could taste carrots first with a little bit of chili followed by a lingering cherry. WOW…this one is VERY unusual but oddly pleasant. As it cools I could taste more floral notes at the beginning of the sip and then it morphs into a carrot and cherry combo – not so much chili – but like I said I under infused. I am thinking the chili will get stronger as you infuse but I kind of like it under infused.

Tasters Review:

There are several reasons I was excited to try this tea from Village Tea Company!  First…anything with SASSY in the name…I’m game!  But more importantly ACAI.  I have had many failures with Acai flavored teas.  TOO MANY.  This tea was very different!  This is the Acai Flavored Tea I have been searching for!

Sassy Green Tea with Acai from Village Tea Company smells a bit like JUICY JUICE – at least that is what first came to mind when I initially sniffed it – or a fruity wine. When I sipped this I could still taste the sweet-green tea but pair it with fruity goodness – and there you have it! I can taste Acai, Orange, and Peach but can barely taste the ginger, chilies, and cloves which is completely fine with me. I think the reason for them – and the reason it works –  is to make it so the fruit flavors are not over powering or bitter or too tarty. I think it also contributes to the lingering yet warming affect it has long after the sip is complete!

Another thing I would love to point out about Village Tea Company is…

Village Tea Company’s dedication extends beyond our teas to a commitment to preserve the beautiful world from which our tea originates. Our sustainability concept aims to minimize our carbon footprint to leave as little an impact on the environment as possible.

From floor to ceiling, the Village Tea Company aims to use recycled or reused materials for our furniture, fixtures, and decorations, with many items and materials coming from the local Dallas area. Even our tea cans are made from 100% recycled materials, and all of this is just the start of our promise to the environment.

All-in-All I am really LOVING Village Tea Company!  Lovely logo, website, customer service, packaging, charity efforts, selection, etc!  If you haven’t checked them out yet – please do!

White Coconut Creme Tea from Element Tea

Tea Type: White Tea

Where To Buy: Element Tea

Product Description:

With an inviting coconut scent, the first sip will bring a smile to your face. This tea delivers a sweet creamy texture with a light body and a good balance of flavors between tea and sweet coconut.

Brew Time: 3 minutes

Ingredients: Tender White Peony Tea Leaves, Cornflower, Safflower, Coconut Bits, Coconut Essence

Tasters Review:

I think I acquired my LOVE of Coconut from my father because my mother and sister are NOT fans.  Ah-well!  MORE FOR ME (and Dad!)

When I saw this tea I was completely stoked!

My first thought was – I really HOPE it’s different than ‘just your average tasting tropical flavored tea’.  LUCKY FOR ME…it completely exceeded my expectations!

The Dry Leaf Scent was Pure Coconut and it’s truly splendid and the Post Infusion Scent was both Coconut and Peony to the nose – Still a delight!

The color is a yellowish with light brown hue.  The Taste consisted of YUMMY Coconut and CREAMY CREAMY CREAMY!  There were some lovely floral notes thrown in as well.

This tea is wonderful. It’s VERY flavorful and much different than other tropical-type teas I have tried!  This reached my 95 percentile of teas I have enjoyed!
