Tasters Review:

The Skinny from DavidsTea really took me by surprise!  I ended up really liking it!  Here’s the SKINNY on this tea from DavidsTea…

This tea takes a while to infuse before the true color appears.  Dry…I thought this first smelled like Orange Cream and then I thought it was more of a Fruit loops/Orange aroma. Post infusion – it smells more like a woodsy/orange. The taste is flatter than I thought it would be.  I would say more Oolong than anything else and then a share of orange taste.  I can’t really taste the Pu-erh, Ginseng, or Ginger much…which is ok with me but maybe not-so-good for those specifically looking for those ingredients, I suppose.

Overall the taste of this one is pretty good!  As far as me liking this tea – I do enjoy it – much more than I expected!  It’s a goodie!

Social Butterfly from White August Tea Company

Tea Type: Green Tea

Where To Buy: White August Tea Company

Product Description:

A tippy green tea bursting with succulent blueberries and intoxicating jasmine petals. This all organic tea yields a very complex and energizing cup.

Tasters Review:

I remember when I was in grade school and half way thru the school year having those student/parent/teacher conferences…each and every year my teacher(s) would say the same thing…”she’s a good student…but…she’s quite the Social Butterfly”.

My parents were never shocked but not overly pleased, either.  What can I say?  I like to talk!

When I saw this tea on the White August Tea Company’s Website…I knew I HAD to try it!  And I know you aren’t supposed to judge a tea by it’s name…but…I’m not going to lie…sometimes I do!

In this case – the name does live up to it’s tea or the tea to it’s name!?

It’s Pretty, Floral, and Fruity!

The amount of Jasmine and the amount of blueberry TOGETHER is AWESOME! It’s just enough of each AND you can still taste the green tea!

There have been 2 other Blueberry/Jasmine Green Teas I have liked in the past but those 2 companies are no longer in business…so I am very happy to have found one to fill the void!

Social Butterflies UNITE!  Fly on over to the White August Tea Company’s Website and see what gets you talking!  There are plenty of lovely teas to choose from!

Tasters Review:

What a gorgeous green tea!

I was assuming it was just going to be green tea with flavoring but you can see all the different floral ingredients within.

It’s VERY pretty!   The Jasmine (and other flowers) are wonderfully done…noticeable but not overly intense….not to mention colorful and pleasing to the eyes!

There is a nice sweeter side of the green tea coming out and it shine thru with the floral notes!

This is REALLY nice…I wish more Jasmine Teas could be this nice!  Thank  you Green Tea Lovers for a beautiful tea…inside and out!  This wakes-up the sense, that is for sure!

Earl Grey White Tip from TeaSource

Tea Type: Black Tea

Where To Buy: TeaSource

Product Description:

Made from fine Chinese teas with a large portion of white tips (the most prized leaf of the plant) and blended with the finest oil of bergamot available. Incredibly aromatic and flavorful.

Tasters Review:

Earl Grey White Tip Tea from TeaSource!  Very Nice!

The draw for me on this one is the wonderful bergamot…it’s delightful!  It’s the perfect amount for me and it tastes REAL not artificial.  There is a good deal of that Earl Grey Floral aroma and taste as well which is strong but true.  There is an interesting mellowness or smoothness even tho it’s strong…maybe more towards the end of the sip…regardless it is good and does stand out to be a memorable Earl Grey!

This is a great cuppa for those rough mornings…and this morning…was a rough morning!

All Matcha’s are NOT created equal!  Pure Matcha’s Matcha stands out!

This certainly is another kind of green and I mean that in the most awesome way!

This is a plain green matcha powder but the flavor is amazing!   I used a bit more than suggested but I really like it!

It’s clean and slightly buttery.  It’s a great green. The aroma and taste are both wonderful.

Like I said…slightly buttery but also smooth…almost velvety…and this is without adding anything, folks!

I could only imagine what a Matcha Latte would taste like!!!  I might have to put that to the test and SOON!

Have I mentioned I really like this!?

Tasters Review:

I was afraid when I saw just how much fennel was in this dry blend mix!  I must say I have had some less than pleasant experiences with fennel in tea. BUT…

This is wonderful!   It leads me to believe that much of the fennel that I have had in teas has been either artificial or enhanced in some way with additional flavoring and/or the blends I have had have been too over the top with the other ingredients that either don’t mesh well with the other spices or interrupt the natural fennel taste!

Regardless…
This is what fennel SHOULD be all about!  This has a great deal of Fennel IN the mix but it tastes very good and more natural tasting than others I have tried prior to this little gem from Yogic Chai!

The other ingredients are gentle and in the background. They only assist and do the fennel justice in this specific case!  I’m very impressed with Fennel Masala Chai fro m Yogic Chai!

This if my favorite Fennel Related Tea to date!

Tasters Review:

The dry mix aroma reminds me of a pale chai.  Post infusion – it smells like a sugary black tea with hints of spice…maybe more cinnamon than the other spice types.

The taste is wonderfully surprising.  If you are looking for heavy spices – this is on the light side but I’m totally LOVING it!   There is something naturally-sugary, too, that I can’t put my finger on but it’s delicious!  It’s slightly chewy but not the chewy one may expect.  This is VERY different and I really like it VERY MUCH!
