Green Mango Peach from Tea Forté

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Green Tea & Honeybush

Where to Buy: Tea Forté

Product Description:

Fragrant mangoes and peach scent every cup of our lightly steamed green tea with honeybush and a touch of peppermint.

Taster’s Review:

I received a “single steep” package of this tea along with my KATI tumbler, and before I get too deep into reviewing this tea, I want to say that I just love these single steep packages!  They are pre-measured with just the right amount of tea for my KATI cup.  Armed with the KATI tumbler and some of these single steep packages, a tea lover has just about everything they need to brew a delicious cup of loose leaf tea anywhere they go!  Just add hot water!

Now… on to the tea!  The flavors of mango and peach permeate each sip of this tea.  It is intensely flavored!  The green tea base is able to hold its own though, and isn’t overwhelmed.  I can taste the fresh, light taste of green tea in the background.

Less noticeable is the flavor of the honeybush, although I can taste the honey-like sweetness from it.  The mint in this blend offers a herbaceous, somewhat medicinal taste to the cup that is reminiscent to menthol.  I don’t find this to be off-putting, but I can see how others might.  The flavor doesn’t overpower the cup, and I will say that the mint flavor lends a very nice minty aftertaste to the tea experience.

I like the ginger’s presence in this cup.  It is not too strong, but it adds a nice dimension of flavor and cuts through the sweeter notes of the fruit.  It has a well-rounded taste to it.  A lovely afternoon cuppa!

Jasmine Peach Bai Mu Dan from Samovar

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  White

Where to Buy:  Samovar

Product Description:

Organic white tea, organic osthmanthus flowers, organic jasmine flowers, natural peach flavor and natural essential oils of orange and tangerine blended in the U.S.

Flavor Profile: Consummately floral, with notes of fresh citrus, white peach, white pepper, toasted amaranth and a trace of fresh blueberries.

Taster’s Review:

This is a beautifully floral tea – I love how well the jasmine and the osmanthus work together.  It creates a light and lively flower-y essence that is not sharp like some floral notes can be, and because of the fruit-like flavors of the osmanthus, the flavors here do not come across as soapy.

The white tea is very delicate here.  There is a whisper of vegetation to this tea that is barely there, mostly what I taste from the tea is the white tea sweetness with a hint of spice.  It sits in the background, making its presence known without being too obsequious.

The peach flavor is the real star – I love how it shines through!  It tastes like a fresh, ripe peach, bursting with flavor!  The citrus tones of this tea bring a little tangy flavor to the cup, just enough tart to keep it from being too sweet.

This is a lovely white tea.  It is one that was sold out at the time that I wrote this review, I do hope that the supply will be replenished.  It is a fantastic springtime tea!

Halo from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company is just outstanding and AMAZING!!!
It perfectly opened/bloomed the first time around without any imperfections whatso-ever and smelled of blueberry and peaches and that’s on top of the floral aroma…how awesome is that for a blooming tea!!??

I could taste the blueberry, peach, and flowers and it’s very yummy!

I tried a 2nd infusion on this and it was still very tasty!  The only notable difference was the 2nd infusion was more floral.  It was still an overall wonderful flavor tho!

This is probably one of my favorite blooming teas or flowering teas I have tried  to date!  This is VERY special!

Tasters Review:

SororiTEA Sisters was one of the first Tea Review Blogs to review a bottled tea from Marley Beverage Company and we are proud to say that we have a 2nd review to share!  This time around we have All Natural Relaxation Marley’s Mellow Mood Black Tea – Peach Raspberry Passion Fruit.  It says it reduces stress and relieves tension.  It’s decaf, too!  To check out the review we posted back in November for Marley Beverage Company’s Green Tea and Honey CLICK HERE!

As far as a bottled iced tea this is pretty tasty!  As far as a decaf-sweetened-bottled-iced-tea this is pretty awesome, I must say!  Yes, it’s sweet and it’s fruity but here is a lengthier review of this groovy product…

Upon opening the bottle I could smell peach followed by passion fruit with a little berry tied in.  It almost smelled wine-like.  It was a glorious aroma!

My first sip was an eye-opening one!  It was much flavorful than I expected!  A nice-sweet-fruity bottled iced tea is certainly what we have here!  The black tea taste isn’t in the forefront – it seems to be hiding in the background – but with all of the other flavors going on here there is a lot of others to keep me interested and busy!  I could taste the Passion Fruit first and then the Raspberry and the peach isn’t as strong as I thought it would be but that is ok!  It doesn’t leave a funky aftertaste which I appreciate!

This is another pleasant surprise from Marley Beverage Company.

Now…I’ll leave you with another of my favorite Bob Marley songs…

Ahhh!  But there are so many to choose from…

Today I choose…

Tasters Review:

Peach Oolong from Butiki Teas…another flavored Oolong from a company I would suggest to ANYONE looking for good-solid-flavored Oolongs…Butiki Teas!

This tastes JUST LIKE White Peaches…Sweet and juicy…just the way I like ’em!

If you like Peach – try this!  If you are looking for a nicely flavored Oolong…TRY THIS!

It’s squeaky clean, highly flavored, and totally YUMMY, and still true Oolong! YUM!

It also leaves a pleasantly sweet aftertaste and I think it’s just lovely!

Completion Tea from Praise Tea

Tea Type: Green Tea/Black Tea Blend

Where To Buy: Praise Tea

Product Description:
A fabulous blend of select black and green teas with fruity, peach-like notes. A Black and Green Tea Blend is a unique new way to enjoy the nutritional benefits of Black tea plus the anti-oxidant properties of Green tea.

Tasters Review:

Completion Tea from Praise Tea is a great green tea and black tea blend!  I’m always interested in blends with more than one tea type base!

The fruity-peach and floral-rose type tastes meet in the middle as do the green tea and black tea tastes!  Everything is pretty even taste-wise and nothing is too overpowering!

Having said that…this IS a flavorful blend!  I really enjoyed all of the flavors here!  Well Done!

Peach Melba from Lupicia

IT'S NATIONAL PEACH MELBA DAY!

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Roobios

Where to Buy:  Lupicia

Product Description:

The delicious aroma of peaches and cream brings out the sweetness of the rooibos tea.

Taster’s Review:

I have never tasted the dessert before, but if it tastes anything like this tisane, I will definitely have to seek it out!

This is really quite good.  The overall flavor is sweet and fruity, but it isn’t cloying or too fruity.  The fact that the rooibos flavor is rather indistinct in this blend is a plus.  I am getting mere whispers of nutty notes from the rooibos, but what I am mostly tasting is a juicy peach and creamy vanilla!

The peach tastes sweet, but it isn’t a sugary sweet flavor that I imagined it would be given that a Peach Melba is vanilla ice cream topped with peaches and raspberries that have been reduced into a sauce.  (Or at least, that is what I think a Peach Melba is supposed to be… if it’s something different, please feel free to comment and set me straight!)  The vanilla is smooth and creamy.  The only thing that seems to be missing is the raspberry.

Yum!  This tisane makes for a delightful treat any time of the day and is especially nice in the evening since it’s caffeine free.

On the 7th Day of Christmas … from 52Teas

I have a confession to make… today was the one day that I had to “spoil the surprise” because I won’t be home most of the day tomorrow… and I probably won’t have time to post a review on the morning of the 20th, so I had to open this package late on the 19th.

But, since it is about 11:30 pm Pacific time as I write this, I guess I could argue that it IS the 20th somewhere.  Right?

Ah… the sacrifices one must make when they review teas!

The tea of the day for December 20th is …

BANANA PEACH

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Green

Where to Buy:  52Teas

Product Description:

…like a banana peach flavored green tea with real no-sugar-added dried banana and peach pieces. Think of it like tea with a hint of cool refreshing fruit smoothie added in. Enjoy!

Taster’s Review:

I can’t believe that I haven’t yet written a review for this tea!  I’ve had this tea for quite a while now, and it just may be my favorite from 52Teas.  Before I tasted this tea, my favorite was Chelsea’s Chocolate Banana Rooibos, but, I do believe that this one has taken the number 1 spot.

In fact, shortly after I tried this tea (and instantly fell in love with it), I bought the rest of what 52Teas showed as in stock so that I wouldn’t run out of it.  I thought that like so many of their blends, this one would be a limited edition.  I still have plenty of this tea on hand, and now that it is part of 52Teas permanent collection, I guess I needn’t hoard it.  Life is short – we should enjoy the teas we love most more often!

The flavor of this tea is just perfect.  The Chinese Sencha green tea is lush and sweet.  It has a buttery essence to it that can be experienced both in the taste and the mouthfeel, and since there is very little astringency to this tea, I can enjoy that buttery essence well into the aftertaste.

The union of flavors works so well in this cup.  The fruit flavors are sweet and remind me a bit of fruit nectar sans the pulpy texture!  I can taste the banana flavor just a little stronger than the peach, but I think that both compliment each other very well.  When combined with the fresh green tea base, it becomes a delicious, fruity treat; it is very much like tea with a hint of smoothie!

This is absolutely delightful!

Peach & Passion from Ahmad Tea

Tea Type: Black Tea

Where To Buy: Ahmad Tea

Product Description:

A refreshing blend of exclusive quality teas enhanced with fruit flavour. A delicious cup of tea for any time of the day, which can be served both hot and cold.

Tasters Review:

There are three things I know…I like black tea, I like peaches, and I like Passion fruit…so…why shouldn’t I like this tea!?

Dry this smells great!  It smells more peach than passion fruit.  Post infusion both aromas are equally the same – or so they seem to be.

I can taste a little more passion than peach but you can still taste the black tea…which I am thankful for!  I really like this flavor combo especially for a bagged tea!

Garden of Eden Tea from Praise Tea Company

Tea Type: Black Tea

Where To Buy: Praise Tea

Product Description:

Black tea with apple, mango, peach, papaya, orange peel and tropical fruit. Stunningly energetic tea, combines the lush tropical richness & colors of summer fruits. A superb iced tea. Indulge your taste buds.

Tasters Review:

I know you shouldn’t judge a tea by it’s name but I at least get excited about a tea and trying a tea based on the name, sometimes, I’m not going to lie!  This is one of those teas!

The INTENSE Aroma of Garden of Eden Tea from Praise Tea is what hits  you as soon as you open the bag!  It’s mostly mango scented but you can tell there are other smells IN there too!  But that Mango really hit me!  Good for me – I adore mango!

The taste is great!  Although it tastes much different than it smells.  ALL the fruit flavors blend together nicely and nothing really steps in front of the other flavors by too much.

For the 2nd infusion I could taste the peach more tho!  Both infusions the black tea was bold and and flavors were wonderful!

Delicious!

Sassy Green Tea with Açaí from Village Tea

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Green

Where to Buy:  Village Tea

Company Description:

Ingredients: chinese green tea, ginger, flavor, orange peel, peach pieces, chilies, cloves, safflower, acai

Our Sassy Green Tea with Acai combines top-quality green tea with peach, ginger, acai, and orange for a sweet and subtle spice.

Taster’s Review:

This is really good!  I love the sweet and spicy in this cup – the sweet is just a little stronger than the spicy, and they enhance each other very well.  It is really quite a palate pleaser!

That being said, I’m finding it a little difficult to discern the different fruits and spices being represented here.  They seem to merge very well – almost too well – so I can only taste wee little notes of each ingredient.

The green tea base is subtle here, it has a nice smoothness and offers a nice richness to the blend.  It doesn’t taste very vegetative or grassy to me at all, and this may be because of the type of green tea used in the blend, or it could be that those sometimes undesirable flavors tend to be overwhelmed by the other flavors in the blend.  (While I do have an appreciation for the vegetative/grassy notes of some green teas, I know that there are quite a few of you out there who do not)

I can taste a sweet smoothness brought on by the peach flavor, along with a delicate note of orange.  There is a light tartness from the açaí berry.  A subtle warmth comes through from the cloves and the ginger, and just at the end of the sip, the chili sort of SNAPS on the tongue, it isn’t really powerful or overwhelming… but it does let you know it’s there.

It’s really quite an enchanting blend – and I can see why Village Tea calls this their Sassy Green Tea!

Peach & Apricot Green Tea from Empire Tea Services

Tea Type: Green Tea

Where To Buy: Empire Tea Services

Product Description:

Gunpowder green tea with peach / apricot flavor.

Tasters Review:

Peach & Apricot Green Tea from Empire Tea Services is INTENSELY flavored and smells AWESOME! 🙂

The flavored gunpowder is shiny prior to infusion.  After the infusion is complete – the leaves expand quite a bit – and are still very highly scented.

The post-infused liquid is quite dark in color…probably the darkest I have seen for a gunpowder.

The flavor of this is really REALLY good…very Peach AND Apricot and equally-so!  The gunpowder taste is present but in the background.

This is a highly flavored gunpowder and I like it a lot – mostly because of the flavors we are dealing with here!  I love both Peach and Apricot and think they BOTH go really well with Green Tea.

Cranberry Peach Black from Georgia Tea Company

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Black

Where to Buy:  Georgia Tea Company

Company Description:

A Chinese black tea with dried cranberries and peach flavoring. For those cranberry lovers!

Taster’s Review:

This is a different flavor combination – I don’t typically see the flavors of cranberry and peach blended together, but, they work together quite well.  The tartness of the cranberry is curbed just enough by the sweet, juicy flavor of the peach to make this a slightly tart, pleasantly sweet taste.

The black tea base is strong and tannic in this blend, and is just a little too astringent in my opinion.  Not bitter, but, very dry – almost to the point of being what I would describe as starchy.  It is not off-putting, though, and I am still quite enjoying this cup, but, if I were to change anything to make it MORE enjoyable, I would soften the astringency here.

The cranberry-peach combination is this tea’s saving grace.  The cranberry is bright and bursting with flavor, and offers just a hint of berry tanginess complete with a pleasing berry tingle on the tongue.  The peach is smooth and sweet, and hits the palate right up front, and lingers until the finish.

This tea is enjoyable served hot or cold – and perhaps it’s just today’s warm weather talking here, but I found it especially refreshing iced.  All things considered, this is a very tasty tea.

Mar-A-Lago from Trump Tea

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Green

Where to Buy:  Trump Tea

Company Description:

Experience relaxation and rejuvenation with this whole leaf
Sencha green tea. Lush with antioxidants and succulent fruit,
this blend is sure to awaken the senses. (mild caffeine)

Ingredients: Organic green tea, organic cornflower, natural organic
extracts of peach, mango and pineapple.

Taster’s Review:

I was very excited to be among the first to try one of THE DONALD’s tea.  Why?  Because, let’s face it, when something has Donald Trump’s name on it, it is the best.  He would settle for nothing less.  So, I was confident that I would really enjoy this tea!

And, I am not disappointed!  This tea is remarkable.  The long, slender spears of Sencha tea produce an amazing flavor that is buttery and rich.  This is definitely a top-quality Sencha tea.

The Sencha base is perfect for the peach and mango flavor combination.  The fresh, smooth flavor of the green tea leaves meld so well with the sweet, tropical taste of mango and the luscious, juicy taste of the peach.  The result is a tea that tastes rich and luxurious.  It is as though I can actually taste Donald Trump’s seal of approval in this cup as I drink it!

These beautiful silken pyramid pouches hold just enough tea for a delicious cup – but I found that they can be steeped a second time if you want to prolong your enjoyment of this tea (and you will!)  As with any green tea, the secret to success is in how you brew it.  The water should be freshly drawn and filtered and brought to a temperature of 175° F.  Keeping the temperature low will enable you to steep these leaves for a slightly longer period of time (I steeped for 4 minutes for the first infusion, 5 minutes for the second) – extracting the most flavor possible from the tea without experiencing even the slightest hint of bitterness in the teacup.

A fantastic tea – but of course, I expected nothing less – nothing but the BEST from Trump Tea!

Field of Purple Flowers from Talbott Teas

Tasters Review:

Field of Purple Flowers from Talbott Tea is a very nicely scented and flavored green! It’s fruity but floral and the post infusion liquor is a vibrant lime green with slightly gray hue.  The taste is peachy and floral but still a true green tea! I really enjoy this flavored green when I am looking for something slightly fruity and floral yet refreshing and flavorful.

Ginger Peach from Octavia Tea

Tea Type: White Tea

Where To Buy: Octavia Tea

Product Description:

Transport yourself to a fragrant orchard in mid-summer with this mouth-watering blend of peach, ginger and rare white tea. White tea has a delicate, honey-like flavor and contains the highest antioxidant level of all teas.

Our Ginger Peach white tea was a finalist at the World Tea Championships and is one of our best sellers!

Tasters Review:

WOW!  This one knocked my socks off!  WHY!?  Well, I don’t usually like Ginger in most blends…I guess it’s ok in some Ginger Peach pairings but I can usually sample and be satisfied without having to run right out and buy a bunch.  This on is different.  I think it’s because it’s a Ginger Peach WHITE Tea.  The White Tea is lovely in this and the Ginger and Peach couldn’t be more perfectly paired here.  This is nicely scented and flavored.  It makes your mouth water but it’s also thirst-quenching.  Yes, I could taste the Ginger, Peach, and White Tea, but I could also pick up on a honey-like aftertaste.  My iced attempt has an even more honey-like finish than the hot attempt – but I do like BOTH hot and cold of this delightful flavored white tea!  YUM!

Rooibos Peach from Drink T

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Rooibos

Where to Buy:  Drink T

Company Description:

Rooibos was popularized by South Africans, who have been making herbal tea from this little red bush for generations.  Rooibos comes from the Dutch word rooibosche, which means “red bush”.  It is most often enjoyed on ice with a slice of lemon and some sugar or honey.

Our tea is a marriage of Rooibos and ripe, summer peaches for a truly delicious infusion.  This refreshing beverage can be enjoyed hot or is ideal served chilled on warm summer afternoons.

Taster’s Review:

I put off trying this tea for a little while – not because I didn’t think I’d like it, but because I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from it.  I’ve tasted peach flavored rooibos before, and I didn’t think that this would be any different.  What I had tasted was good, you know, alright, not bad… but, it wasn’t spectacular, either.  I figured that this tea would be quite similar to the ones I had tried in the past…

Boy, was I wrong!  This is spectacular (and trust me when I say you won’t hear me say that about a rooibos blend very often!)

I really like how the peach flavor and rooibos work together in this blend.  The woodsy note of the rooibos actually enhances the peach flavor by cutting through some of the sweetness.  This isn’t a cloying, sugary-sweet peach concoction.  This tastes true to the fruit!  This tastes like I picked a peach off the tree and started eating it.  I can almost feel the warm peach juices running down my arm!

Now, that is not to say that this isn’t a sweeter tasting beverage, because it does possess its own natural sweetness – but it doesn’t taste overly sweet.  This tastes like the fruit – and not like a processed, syrupy sweet peach pie filling.

I like this very much!  I enjoyed my first cup hot, but, then I decided to brew some and chill it – and it’s fantastic iced!  A real treat that everyone in the family will enjoy!

Ingredients: Ingredients: Chinese black tea, Ginger Pieces, Peach Pieces, Apricot Pieces, and Natural Ginger-Peach Flavor

Tasters Review:
I LOVE Apricots and Peaches.  I always have!  As a matter of fact…when I was a toddler my mother used to buy me dehydrated apricots and I would eat them right out of the bag!  I mean, what little kid voluntarily eats Apricots, eh!?  It’s like I couldn’t get enough of them!  I still like them to this day!

I also like Ginger in many things…mostly food.  Usually I don’t gravitate to the Ginger Teas that I see right away because the ones I have had in the past are either “Too Much Ginger” that is overwhelms the rest of the ingredients or it’s “fake tasting”.

It seems I have struggled to find many Ginger Flavors that work with my palate…until NOW…

This Ginger, Peach, and Apricot Flavored Black Tea from Boston Tea Co is terrific!

Another description I found for this tea – in short – is listed on Steepster as:

Ginger bits, lush peaches and apricots blended with Chinese black tea and enhanced with natural ginger-peach flavor add up to a delightfully sweet-tart refresher.

That pretty much sums it up!  My thoughts are that the Peach and Apricot seem to be pretty good friends in this flavored black tea.  It seems to have the perfect amount of ginger for my liking!

So far…this is one of my favorites from Boston Tea Co.
